SPL (Single Phase Liquid) Mixer replaces the CHEMCAD Stream Mixer UnitOp (MIXE) with a model extended with calculation of fluid dynamics parameters and mixing quality.
The extended model is useful for processes where the fluid motion produced by the impeller and the mixing accuracy are important such as mixing of Newtonian high viscosity fluids for application in industries such as paint, cosmetic and food.
With the SPL Mixer added to your CHEMCAD palette, there is no need for external calculations of the fluid dynamics parameters.
You can directly use CHEMCAD controllers, sensitivity analysis and optimization to adjust these parameters for a better mixing.
